Club Corp's Point of Sales transition
January 2019
Club Corp had used 3 different Point-Of-Sale (POS) systems to sell their merchandise and food throughout the United States. After over a decade of having support for all three POS systems, the company decided it was time to upgrade so that they only need support for one.
For most country clubs, Club Corp used Aloha for selling anything Food & Beverage related and Prophet Line for any Merchandise but if the country club was located in Georgia, then both the Food & Beverage and Merchandise related used a POS called IBS.
I was a part of the migration for all 200+ country club's to a new POS system called Micros. It had the capabilities to be programmed to sell any item, share information via WiFi, and could be used in Tablet Mode. There were a lot of new functions and troubleshooting that needed to learned.
When the time for migration came around, I was tasked with:
unloading and keeping track of the devices that came into the Home Office
communicating directions for return shipment of obsolete hardware
creating knowledge base articles for the new issues that arose
After the initial roll-out, a new team was create to support the Micros software and hardware and my duties were handed over to with no complications.
